Silvia Salvadori of www.salvadorilaw.com announces her annual trip to Italy for pleasure and business.I’m happy to announce my trip to my homeland of Italy for a unique combination of business and pleasure. I left on September 3rd and expect to return to the United States on September 22nd. During my trip, I will be visiting family and close friends in my home city of Venice, and will then be spending the rest of my time visiting clients in the north of Italy to personally discuss their cases and concerns.

Nowadays, it is true that international communication is faster and easier than ever with email and phone calls, but this still doesn’t replace the value of face-to-face meetings. It is very important to me to be able to sit down with my clients and explain to them the status of their pending issues and hear what questions they have for me as well.

For example, given the major recent changes in U.S. patent law, I will be taking advantage of this time to explain to many of my clients why some claims that were allowable in the past years are now suddenly no longer permissible in the post-Myriad world. These types of conversations are much easier to have in person.

It is also a great opportunity for me to meet with potential clients and explain to them how I may be able to help them and their businesses in patent-related matters.

I look forward to enjoying both an exciting and extremely productive trip to Italy. Auguri, Italia!
